RADARCIREBON.TV – The management of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) is preparing a grass nursery so that the stadium with a capacity of 82 thousand spectators is ready to become Persija Jakarta’s headquarters when facing the BRI Super League.
“We plan to build several nurseries like the one at Singapore’s National Stadium. They have four nurseries the size of a main football field,” said JIS Strategic Business Unit (SBU) GM Shinta Syamsul Arief.
Shinta revealed that management plans to adapt this by having several grass nurseries to be more flexible in managing football and concert schedules at JIS.

Shinta continued, with the presence of these grass seeding, growth and maintenance facilities, it is hoped that JIS will be able to hold football matches in just five days, after holding music concerts in the area.
Shinta said that currently, the condition of the grass is often an obstacle to holding football matches and concerts at JIS. They hope that grass nurseries can be the best solution.
Shinta believes that more football matches and concerts by international musicians can be held at JIS without any major obstacles.
Shinta explained that JIS was designed as a venue for all events (multipurpose venue) or a location for various benefits, both for sports activities and non-sport activities.
BUMD Jakpro was assigned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to manage JIS independently, especially in financial matters.
This challenge requires JIS management to synergize the organization of concerts and football.
“So far, concerts by international musicians, especially K-Pop, have been the main support for JIS’s income,” explained Shinta.

Meanwhile, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has also designated JIS as the headquarters for the Persija Jakarta match.
Shinta said that the speed of reinstalling the grass until it was match-worthy was the key to the synergy of holding football matches and music concerts.
“Now JIS management is focusing on building a grass nursery, mirroring that run by the Singapore National Stadium and other large stadiums in the world,” he explained.
Shinta added that by holding more football matches and music concerts, JIS will reach ideal conditions and be financially independent, as well as becoming a suitable headquarters for Persija Jakarta.
