The last qualifiers will be known. The first round of the 2025 African Cup of Nations concludes this Tuesday, December 31 with the third and final day of the group stage for groups E and F.
The day will begin in Rabat at 5 p.m. with a match completely devoid of stakes between Algeria (1st, 6 points) and Equatorial Guinea (4th, 0 points) in group E. Leaders and qualified for the round of 16, the Fennecs will not be able to be caught. The Nzalang Nacional selection, for its part, will not be able to do better than last place after two defeats in as many matches.
In the same group, Sudan (3rd, 3 points) and Burkina Faso (2nd, 3 points) will compete for second place in Casablanca. A completely different result than a victory for the Falcons of Jediane would offer qualification to the Burkinabè. The loser of this match could still qualify for the final phase as the best third and face Morocco in the next round.
