After watching the school team’s training demonstration, Huang Yaqiong said: “I was surprised to see the school team’s game. Their level is more similar to that of professional athletes. There are many wonderful multi-shots during offense and defense.”

During the on-site interactive session, Wang Zhiyi, Zhang Chi, Wang Zhengxing, and Guo Xinwa had a short-game exchange with members of the Changjun Binjiang badminton school team, winning rounds of applause from the teachers and students present.

Olympic/world champions enter the campus and convey the spirit of sports with the power of role models. Members of the Changjun Binjiang badminton school team said that Huang Yaqiong, Wang Zhiyi and others focused on the path of growth, struggle and championship by adhering to their dreams, overcoming themselves and pursuing excellence, and demonstrated the spirit of Chinese athletes who are confident, tenacious, hard-working and brave to reach new heights. When Huang Yaqiong, Wang Zhiyi and others were about to leave, the students, with reverence for their idols, flocked to the champions and happily “asked” for their autographs and took photos.

Shi Dongni, the principal of Binjiang Middle School in Changsha Changjun, said that the Chinese Badminton Super League’s on-campus activities of “Blade Dreams, Stars on Campus” allowed all teachers and students to feel the power of champion role models. The athletes present today are all role models who have fought hard on the field, donned the national flag, brought glory to the motherland, and added color to the nation. Their tenacity and perseverance are the nutrients that Changbin students need to absorb most. Changsha Changjun Binjiang Middle School was established in August 2016. It is a public junior and senior high school directly under the Changsha Municipal Education Bureau.
