Paris is a party and PSG has been one of the city’s great entertainers during this year 2025. The capital’s club has had a historic last twelve months during which it won six trophies including its first Champions League obtained on May 31 after defeating Inter Milan (5-0). The legendary vintage of Luis Enrique’s men was notably made possible thanks to Ousmane Dembélé, winner of the Ballon d’Or on September 22 at the Théâtre du Châtelet.
Three months after becoming the sixth French footballer to win this prestigious distinction, the 2018 world champion will once again be honored in the City of Lights. This Wednesday evening, on the occasion of New Year’s Eve 2026, a video mapping will be projected on the Arc de Triomphe.
One of the paintings will pay tribute to Ousmane Dembélé and his Ballon d’Or obtained at the end of the most accomplished season of his career in the PSG jersey. The legendary trophy will be represented on the monument located on Place de l’Etoile, where the Parisians celebrated their Champions League coronation on June 1 with the public.
A nod to the two derbies
A second nod to the capital club is also planned during this show with a painting which will refer to the double derby between PSG and Paris FC. The two teams face each other on Sunday January 4 in Ligue 1 and on Monday January 12 in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France.
A necessarily symbolic poster since the two neighboring clubs only met twice in the league, during the 1978-1979 season. This initiative from the City of Paris is appreciated by PSG, which is delighted to see its players and the club celebrated in this way after the most exceptional year in its history.
