The Mexican boxer David Picasso and the Japanese Naoya Inoue, undisputed world super bantamweight champion, completed without any problems the official weigh-in prior to their fight scheduled for this Saturday at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
During the ceremony held this Friday, Picasso stopped the scale at 54.9 kilograms, while Inoue registered 55.1 kilograms, both within the division’s allowed limit, established at 55.3 kilograms. With this, the confrontation was officially confirmed.
The fight is part of the card The Ring V: Night of the Samuraiin which Inoue, 32 years old and known as The Monsterwill simultaneously display the belts of the World Boxing Association, the World Boxing Council, the World Boxing Organization and the International Boxing Federation.
For David Picasso, this fight represents the greatest challenge of his professional career. The Mexican boxer arrives with a record of 32 wins, 17 of them by knockout, in addition to a draw, and will seek to surprise by facing one of the most dominant boxers of today.
Naoya Inoue, for his part, boasts a record of 31 victories, 27 by knockout, and has won world titles in four different divisions: light flyweight, super flyweight, bantamweight and super bantamweight, establishing himself as one of the greatest figures in international boxing.
