“Kees Smit is someone to keep an eye on in 2026. A transfer in January does not seem to be possible, but all European top clubs are attentive when it comes to the talented 19-year-old midfielder,” said the Italian on X.
“From what I understand, it should cost more than the reported 45 to 50 million euros,” says Romano. “AZ has already refused proposals that were around 60 million euros. I can guarantee that AZ will not sell him for that amount,” the Italian knows more.
According to Romano, Smit does not have to worry about his future. “He really ends up at a top club. All important European clubs want him.”
