A few days ago, ‘Mundo Deportivo’ reported that Diogo Leite could move from 1. FC Union Berlin to FC Barcelona in the winter. He is one of many inexpensive candidates alongside Nicolás Otamendi (37/Benfica), Stefan de Vrij (33/Inter Milan) and Marcos Senesi (28/AFC Bournemouth).
Nathan Aké from Manchester City would also be one of them. As ‘Sport’ reports, the 30-year-old is increasingly becoming the focus of the Catalans because Barça wants to sign a new central defender after the long-term absence of Andreas Christensen (29). The Dutchman was offered to the Blaugrana together with Axel Disasi (27) from Chelsea FC.
VfL & HSV in focus
Barça is spoiled for choice in the winter, and a young defender should follow in the summer. A few weeks ago the ‘Hamburger Morgenpost’ brought Luka Vuskovic (18) from Hamburger SV into the game. The youngster wants to finish the season at HSV, but what happens next is still unclear.

‘Sport’ now also reports that Hansi Flick’s team is also monitoring Konstantinos Koulierakis from VfL Wolfsburg. The 22-year-old is not having an easy season with the Wolves, but like his teammates he has stabilized quite a bit under Daniel Bauer. The Greek is under contract with Lower Saxony until 2029. Barça is closely monitoring Koulierakis’ situation, like Vuskovic’s, and is planning an attack in the summer.
