This Friday, the Sports Directorate held a new edition of the Gallo 2025 Awards, a ceremony that highlighted the great performance of local athletes throughout the year. Boxer Joel Pereyra was awarded the Silver Rooster, the highest recognition of the night, during the event held at the Municipal Sports Center.
The athlete from the Municipal Boxing School received the statuette from the municipal mayor Maximiliano Suescun and the Sports Director Mónica Ascazuri, in recognition of an outstanding season. Throughout 2025, Pereyra won two AMBAPA South American titles, in the categories up to 61 kg and up to 64 kg, establishing himself as the most outstanding athlete of the year.
During the 28th edition of the Rauch Sports Festival, in addition to the delivery of the Bronze Rooster Awards in each discipline, special mentions and recognitions were made:
