Mariko Koike Basketball Class | Athleisure Dreams

Athlete is a national school dispatch project for athletes.
This time, former professional basketball player Mariko Koike will be participating in Athleisure at Tokushima Prefectural Anan Support School!
Regardless of whether you are good at sports or not, we had you come into contact with basketball, experience it, and have fun!

Looking back on his basketball career, he says that his mentor told him, “If you hit 500 3-point shots every day, you can become a member of the Japanese national team.” It was a turning point for him, and as a result of continuing to do what he said, he was able to become a representative of Japan. This taught me how important it is to continue and keep taking on challenges.

After the lecture, we immediately started playing basketball.
First, start with core training using a ball.

The difficulty gradually increased from the easy events, but all the students bravely took on the challenge without giving up and continued to clear the stages.

After a break, we will begin the shoot challenge. Since the physical abilities of the students were far beyond our expectations, we changed the menu from the original and played a competitive team shooting game. There were many students who decided on 3-point shots, and I was surprised here as well.

All the students said, “It was fun!”.

At the end, the class ended with a gift of a handmade bag.
