In the national finals of the 21st China Middle School Basketball Championship (High School Women’s Group) held on the evening of December 24, the women’s basketball team of the Middle School Affiliated to Northeast Normal University, representing Jilin Province, defeated the Hangzhou No. 14 Middle School team with high morale, superb skills and tenacious style and won the national championship. This heavy championship trophy not only demonstrates the achievements of Jilin Province’s school sports work, but also is the vivid practice of Jilin Province’s comprehensive implementation of the party’s education policy, adhering to the “health first” educational concept and sports people, and is a testimony of deepening the integration of physical education and efforts to develop school sports.
This event is one of the highest-level basketball events for middle school students in the country, co-sponsored by the China Student Sports Federation and the Chinese Basketball Association. The event brings together 64 top teams from all over the country and can be called the annual pinnacle showdown of middle school girls’ basketball in the country.
The road to the championship for the women’s basketball team of the Middle School Affiliated to Northeast Normal University was solid and exciting at every step: in the group stage, the team showed great strength and advanced to the top 32 in the country with a complete victory record; in the knockout round, the girls were unstoppable, defeating Ordos No. 1 Middle School and Shijiazhuang No. 2 Middle School; in the key battle, the ball The team showed great style and level, successfully advancing to the finals against the traditional strong teams Tsinghua Middle School and Rizhao No. 1 Middle School.
