Latehar. The 19th Double Khassi Tennis Ball Cricket Competition was launched under the aegis of Subhash Chandra Bose Cricket Club in Pochara village of Sadar Block. It was inaugurated by Zilla Parishad member Vinod Oraon, former chief Rameshwar Singh, chief Ramji Singh, social workers Ramnaresh Prasad, Anupam Mishra, Abhishek Nath Shahdev, Ashish Nath Shahdev, Pankaj Singh Dev, Dilip Prasad, Balram Prasad, Jabir Ansari and Purshottam Lal and got introduced to the players. After winning the toss in the match, Sasang Cricket Club decided to bowl first. Batting first, Dudva Cricket Club scored 73 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 10 overs. In this, Rashid contributed the maximum of 28 runs. For Sasang, Arshad bowled brilliantly and took three wickets. Sasang Cricket Club team, which came to chase the target, performed brilliantly and won the match by scoring 74 runs after losing two wickets in 7 overs. Arshad scored the maximum 30 runs for Sasang. The match was conducted by umpires Raja and Saifi Alam. Club Secretary Anup Kumar said that all the matches of the competition are being played in the playground of Government Middle School, Pochara. The final match of the competition will be held on 31st December.
