Noa Lang to Ancelotti: Napoli Supercoppa Reaction

Noa Lang won his first prize as a Napoli player on Monday, by defeating Bologna (2-0) in the Supercoppa final. However, the big man on Napoli’s side was David Neres, who, according to Lang, deserves a new call-up to the Brazil national team.

Neres missed a great opportunity on Monday, but more than made up for that miss by fantastically sending the ball into the far top corner from just outside the penalty area.

After the break, the same Neres would make the decision. The ex-Ajax player was able to narrowly intercept a pass from Bologna goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia, went straight to the keeper and finished with an ingenious marker: 2-0.

Lang, who came on twenty minutes before the end and with a 2-0 lead, proudly shares snapshots of the Italian Super Cup win on Instagram.

In his stories, Lang also posts a photo with Neres in the foreground, who is holding the cup in his hands. At the bottom of the photo, Lang tags Ancelotti, who wants to let him know that it is time for a call-up.

Neres has been an excellent shot for Napoli this season. The winger, who is still extremely popular in Amsterdam, has already delivered six goals and four assists for Napoli this season.

In 2019, when Neres was part of Ajax that reached the semi-finals in the Champions League, he was called up for Brazil for the first time. Neres played seven international matches that year and then played once more for Brazil, in October 2023 against Uruguay.
