Discussions are ongoing, details still secret
Britain’s top promoter Eddie Hearn left after the fight Anthony Joshua hinted that Rico Verhoeven is clearly in the picture as the next opponent. Not much later confirmation followed from the Netherlands. “It is true that we are in negotiations,” says manager Karim Erja on behalf of Rico Verhoeven. “At this stage we cannot yet become substantive, but hopefully there will be more clarity soon.” There is no date yet, although Hearn said it would be worked on within a few days.
