Sacramento – Germany’s basketball star Dennis Schröder led the Sacramento Kings to a 125:124 (112:112, 57:58) home win over the Houston Rockets in the NBA as a match winner. The national team captain hit the game-winning three-pointer 3.1 seconds before the end of overtime to give the Kings their sixth win of the season. The playmaker scored Sacramento’s last seven points in overtime.
In total, Schröder had 24 points, ten assists and seven rebounds, narrowly missing a triple-double. Teammate Russell Westbrook (21 points) saved the Kings into overtime with a three-pointer in the final seconds of the fourth quarter.
The Kings achieved their first success after five defeats in a row. With seven wins and 22 defeats, Schröder’s team, along with the New Orleans Pelicans, has the weakest record in the Western Conference.
