Having returned from Belgrade with many certainties and a bit of regret, the Virtus is preparing for a Christmas period within friendly walls. The next three Euroleague matches will in fact be at the Fiera, to balance a calendar which so far has seen the Bianconeri play 10 times away and only 7 at home. Olympiacos will arrive on December 26th, Milan on January 2nd, Zalgiris on January 6th. But first we have to think about the championship. In fact, tomorrow evening there will be the big match against Brescia, a repeat of last year’s Scudetto final. The Lombard team has practically the same roster as last year, they promoted deputy Cotelli in place of Poeta, and so far they are doing very well: 10 victories and one defeat, the same record that Trapani would have without penalties. Olidata follows closely behind, and tomorrow they have the opportunity to reach the top of the rankings again and keep Milan, who won yesterday in Cantù, at a distance. Obviously it will also be a question of energy, physical and mental. Brescia still chose not to compete in the cup competitions, and had a week to prepare for the match. Virtus is back from a double round, all away. This too could make the difference, even if the Juventus roster was built for this. Certainly, if it is true that not all LBA regular season matches have the same value, tomorrow’s match is among the “heavy” ones, and should be interpreted as such.
