Rams Fire Special Teams Coordinator

The Los Angeles Rams have fired special teams coordinator Chase Blackburn, sources tell ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

This is the first in-season coaching change made by Rams head coach Sean McVay in nine seasons in Los Angeles.

Rams assistant special teams coach Ben Kotwica will take over and become special teams coordinator, a source told Schefter.

The Rams have a record of 11-4 and are in second place in the National West division.

Sean McVay’s squad lost in overtime 38-37 to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night in a game marked by a Seattle punt return for a touchdown and a missed 48-yard field goal by Los Angeles kicker Harrison Mevis.
