YONEX German Ruhr Internationals 2025 U15 – U19 Tag 2
Thursday – second day
The German Ruhr Internationals will take place for the sixth time in Mülheim an der Ruhr from December 17th to October 20th. This year more than five hundred young badminton players from 23 nations will fight for world ranking points at this tournament.
The U19 competitions continued with the individual competitions on Thursday. Here Mats Wohlers was eliminated in the second round against the strong Frenchman Leon Phan after three hard-fought sets.
In the women’s doubles U19 (with Julika Block) and the mixed U19 (with Maximilian Hasse), the tournament unfortunately ended for Dana Arnold from the organizing team VfB Grün-Weiß Mülheim after the first round.
Things went better in the U19 men’s doubles. Here Mats Wohlers and his brother Felix won the opening game against the Swiss Nithin Palanivelu and Luan Richard.
The U15 competitions began with the individuals in the Von-Bock-Straße sports hall.
In the girls’ singles U15, Leni Klara Bonnemann was able to march through and is already in the semi-finals against Melissa Motard from France on Friday.
On Friday there will also be doubles and mixed doubles in the U15 age group.
