“Rubene” resumes the Premier League tournament with a victory in Cēsis
After the break, which was related to the participation of the Latvian national team in the final tournament of the world championship, the battles in the ELVI floorball league for women have resumed. Tonight Kocēni “Rubene” visited the team “Lekrings” in Cēsis, which they defeated with 8:2. The most productive among the winners with 3 (1+1) points was Emilija Salaciete.
In the game between Cēsa “Lekringa” and Kocēna “Rubeni” after the first period, the scoreboard showed that the guests were in the lead with 3:0. Zane Darša, Danute Tinkuse and Emīlija Salaciete each scored a ball in the goal of the Cēsis players. At the beginning of the second third, Asnāte Pēlmane and Daniela Dafne Hane made it 5-0. The home team scored the first goal in the 45th minute, when Olivia Jarohoviča scored a free kick (1:5). In the 49th minute, Eliza Elizabeta Bērzina from Kočenia used her numerical majority – 6:1. When there were exactly ten minutes left until the end of the regular time, the home team Olivija Jarohoviča scored her second goal in this match (2:6). Kocēni floorball players responded with goals from Emilijas Salacietes and Ievas Jetes Jansones, ensuring “Rubenes” a convincing victory with 8:2.
The best player award among the winners went to Emilija Salaciete, who was also the top scorer with 3 (2+1) points. Ieva Jete Jansone and Danute Tinkuse collected 2 (1+1) performance points each. Jane Eglite won the best player award for the home team. After this victory, “Rubene” from Kocēni became the leader of the tournament table with 24 points, while “Lekrings” from Cēsis still has three points and 6th place.
