JUARA.NET – Wong Ling Ching’s solid performance in defeating two Indonesian women’s singles was in the spotlight of the Badminton Association of Malaysia or BAM when responding to the results at the 2025 SEA Games.
The neighboring country closed the biggest sporting event in ASEAN with nine medals.
Despite achieving the collective target, Aaron Chia et al failed to meet expectations regarding the gold medal.
This brought the performance of the Malaysian coach into the spotlight, where Rexy Mainaky, who served as Coaching Director, admitted that he was ready to resign.
Responding to the results, BAM President, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz chose to take the lesson.
He highlighted the surprising performance of Wong Ling Ching who won a bronze medal in the women’s singles sector.
According to Zafrul, this medal proves that Malaysia’s development is on the right track.
Wong indeed performed extraordinary at the 2025 SEA Games yesterday.
Not just one, he managed to beat two Indonesian women’s singles.
