Online video service (OTT) platform Tving announced on the 17th that it has obtained exclusive OTT broadcast rights for all games of the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC).
Tving said: “Drawing on rich experience in broadcasting the KBO League and producing related programs, we plan to broadcast all games of the 2026 WBC exclusively to provide the best viewing experience for baseball fans.” In particular, she added: “We plan to present innovative contents such as ‘fandom broadcast’ and ‘ambient sound broadcast’, which differentiate themselves from existing broadcasts.”
The WBC 2026 will take place from March 5 to 17 next year in three countries: Japan, the United States and Puerto Rico.
The Korean national team, which is in Group C of the first round of the tournament, will play consecutively against the Czech Republic (March 5), host Japan (March 7), Taiwan (March 8) and Australia (March 9) at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. If she finishes among the first two in group C, she will obtain a place in the second round which will take place on the American continent.
This exclusive Tving broadcast is expected to provide Korean baseball fans with the opportunity to watch world-class baseball games anytime, anywhere.
