Conversely, five elements from FC Lorient and Paris FC – Ilan Kebbal and Samir Chergui (Algeria), Jean-Philippe Krasso (Ivory Coast), Hamari Traoré (Mali) and Moses Simon (Nigeria) – were invited. Seven nations have not called up any Ligue 1 players, the vast majority of them do not have footballers in the French elite. Angola, Benin, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea and Tanzania called a single entry from the French Championship – apart from the Pharaohs, this was the only player from their country to feature. Three teams are particularly counting on L1 footballers: Cameroon and Mali with six elements, but especially Senegal, of which 10 of the 28 players requested play in France.
