Shortly before the end, the VAR asks Makkelie to step aside because Verschuren has received an effort from Van Bergen against his arms. After watching the images back, Makkelie gives a penalty to FC Groningen, which is used by Resink: 3-0.

Stije Resink opens the score beautifully. Volendam does not clear the ball well. This comes at the foot of Resink who leaves Van Oevelen without a chance from the edge of the penalty area: 1-0.

Amevor immediately gets red from Makkelie after he has knocked down Van Bergen who has broken through.
