The Senior Men’s Category, organized within the scope of the Kocaeli Region 2025–2026 Basketball Season, ended with the final matches played on December 14, 2025. The organization, organized in the name of Mehmet Temel, one of the names who contributed to Kocaeli basketball for many years, brought both sports competition and a sense of loyalty together.
Mehmet Temel, who has been a manager at Lassa Spor, Maga Deri and Izmit Basketball Sports Club for many years, and also served as the club representative in the Kocaeli Basketball Provincial Organizing Committee, was thanked for his contributions to Kocaeli basketball.
CHAMPION İZMİT ACADEMY SK
In the league, where 11 teams competed in the regular season, the matches played between the 4 teams remaining in the final group witnessed great excitement. Izmit Akademi SK, which won all 6 matches it played in the final group, reached the championship with its undefeated performance.
Karamürselbey ranked second with 4 wins, Yaka Basketbol ranked third and Kocaeli Atletik SK ranked fourth.
TROPHIES AND MEDALS ARE FOUND TO THEIR OWNERS
The plaque prepared by the Provincial Representation in memory of the day was presented to Mehmet Temel by the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports Sports Services Manager Ziyaülhak Sarıgül and Kocaeli Basketball Provincial Representative Serkan Dağdelen.
The cups and medals of the winning teams are; It was given by Mehmet Temel, Ziyaülhak Sarıgül, Serkan Dağdelen and Atatürk Sports Hall Supervisor Cahit Han.

At the end of the organization; All clubs, coaches, referees, table officials, match observers, field commissioners, Provincial Referee Board, Provincial Organization Board, Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, hall staff and athletes who contributed to the competitions were thanked.
The season, in which both competition and loyalty came to the fore in Kocaeli basketball, ended with applause.
