Indonesian men’s doubles Patience Karyaman Gutama/Moh. Reza Pahlevi Isfahani beat Malaysian pair Man Wei Chong/Kai Wun Tee to qualify for the final SEA Games 2025. Sabar/Reza won 21-16, 21-17 in a fierce duel.
In the semifinal match at Thamasat Rangsit Gymnasium, Saturday (13/12/2025), Sabar/Reza, who were the third seeds, faced Man/Tee, who were the second seeds. Sabar/Reza tried to thwart the All Malaysian Final in men’s doubles, considering that previously Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik (Malaysia) had already qualified for the top match.
At the start of the first game, Sabar/Reza immediately tried to step on the gas, including by stringing three points in a row. The Indonesian pair led 11-7 at the interval.

The Malaysian pair continued to add points after the interval, but Sabar/Reza were able to maintain their lead. The first game belonged to Sabar/Reza, 21-16.
Entering the second game, Man/Tee took the lead but Sabar/Reza immediately equalized at 3-3. After that, buying and selling attacks occurred, making the scoring of points very fierce, with the score continuing to be even, even after the interval!
Having fallen behind by two points at 13-15, Sabar/Reza then managed to get up and soar through a series of points to get ahead of Man/Tee. The Indonesian pair then maximized this momentum to win 21-17. Sabar/Reza also reached the men’s doubles final SEA Games 2025!
Before this match there had been four matches involving Indonesian representatives. Before Sabar/Reza, only Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari confirmed their ticket to the 2025 SEA Games badminton final.
Looking at the schedule, Indonesia still has a number of representatives remaining to play in the badminton semifinals SEA Games 2025 today. Namely Alwi Farhan, Putri Kusuma Wardani, and Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah.
