Gonçalo Inácio: Sporting Lisbon Contract Renewal Confirmed

Sporting officially renewed Gonçalo Inácio’s contract, which extends his connection to the club until 2030, maintaining the termination clause at 60 million euros. The central defender, trained in Alcochete, thus reinforces his commitment to the emblem where he arrived as a child, aged 11, and where he has already played more than 200 games for the main team.

At 24 years old, Inácio is one of the figures of the green and white team and one of the symbols of the generation that put Sporting back in the fight for the top of Portuguese football. In 13 years at home, he won seven titles as a professional – three championships, two League Cups, a Portuguese Cup and a Super Cup – and became a key player in the Leonine defensive axis.

Having spent time at all levels of the Lions’ formation, he made his debut for the main team on October 4, 2020, launched by Ruben Amorim in a match against Portimonense. Since then, he has played 232 games and scored 21 goals with the green and white shirt. His good performances at Sporting led him to the National Team, where he has been a constant presence in the squad, having already won 19 caps.

With this new link that links him to the Alvalade formation until 2030, Gonçalo Inácio is now preparing to add another chapter to his history in green and white, reinforcing his status as a Leonine reference.
