Manchester City football players defeated Real Madrid at his stadium 2:1 in Wednesday’s meeting of the 6th round of the league phase of the Champions League.
Arsenal also did well, winning 3-0 in Bruges and continuing to lead the interim table with full points.
In the 28th minute of the match in Madrid, Rodrygo opened the score when he finished from the right side of the penalty area exactly to the far post.
Pep Guardiola’s men turned the score around before the break. In the 35th minute, Joško Gvardiol headed in a corner, Real’s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois made a save, and Nico O’Reilly equalized at 1:1.
The Norwegian gunner Erling Haaland completed the turnaround when he called a foul from Antonio Rudiger in the penalty area and then in the 43rd minute converted the penalty into a counter move by Courtois.

After the change of sides, the score did not change anymore, Rodrygo finished off the crossbar in the 85th minute, and so Manchester City moved up to the provisional 4th place, while the “white ballet” dropped to 7th place.
London Arsenal won in its sixth appearance in the current edition of the LM and occupies the top of the table without losing a point.
Madueke scored two goals in the 3-0 victory of the “gunners” in Bruges, when he ended his campaign in the 25th minute with an accurate shot from outside the penalty area, and in the 47th minute he finished successfully from close range after Martin Zubimendi’s cross.
In the 56th minute, Gabriel Martinelli was on the scoresheet when he was happy after a nice shot from the edge of the penalty area.

Napoli complicated their way to the playoffs
Napoli, without the injured Slovak representative Stanislav Lobotka, lost 0:2 to Benfica in Lisbon. Richard Rios gave the home side the lead in the 20th minute, who responded to a save by the visitors’ defender and opened the net.
He also participated in the second goal, this time assisting Leandro Barreira. Benfica thus claimed their second victory in the current LM season, while Napoli complicated their way to the playoffs.
Paris Saint-Germain drew for the first time in this edition of the millionaire competition, when they shared the points with Athletic at home in Bilbao after a goalless run.
Juventus rejoiced at their second victory, beating Cypriot Paphos 2:0 in Turin. In the 67th minute, Weston McKennie sent the hosts into the lead, and in the 73rd minute, Jonathan David calmed down the “old lady”.
Dortmund only drew
Borussia Dortmund only drew 2:2 with FK Bodö/Glimt at home. From the 18th minute, they led after Julian Brandt’s finish from inside the penalty area, but at the end of the first half, Haitam Aleesami equalized with a header.
In the 51st minute, Brandt added his second accurate strike from the crossbar, but the guests from Norway found an answer again when Jens Petter Hauge got in front of the goal in the 75th minute.
Newcastle could have added England’s third triumph of the evening, but Alejandro Grimaldo in the 88th minute ensured home team Bayer Leverkusen at least a point after a 2:2 draw.
“Pharmacists” were leading in the 13th minute after an own goal by Bruno Guimaraes, but Anthony Gordon equalized from the penalty spot at the beginning of the second half, and Lewis Miley scored for the “magpies” in the 74th minute.
