The player turns 22 in April, and there is concern among the athlete’s staff about the timing of the negotiation. The European market prefers younger players, as was the case with Endrick, Estêvão and Luis Guilherme (all three left the club at 18).
The Alviverde management believes that Allan will continue to evolve with the team in the first semesterand could make the club even more money.
Palmeiras projected R$400 million in sales for next year, and the young man could represent part of that amount. Alviverde has maintained this sales average in recent years, but has a plan to keep a large part of the squad that remained until almost 2025. Allan could end up helping the club.
Even though he is a starter, Allan is not seen as non-negotiable. The board takes the situation of Vitor Reis as an example, the 19-year-old defender had become the team’s starter and the club had no intention of selling him. But Manchester City came up with a proposal of around R$219 million, the biggest negotiation for a defender in Brazilian football, and Alviverde agreed to negotiate the athlete.
Alviverde renewed the jewel’s contract in the middle of the year until the end of 2029. The new link was made official shortly before the Club World Cup, and with the idea of removing harassment from European football.
Allan was chosen as the revelation of the Brazilian Championship in ESPN’s Bola de Prata award. The young man played 54 games this season, scored 3 goals and made 6 assists.
