INTERVIEWS Anderlecht, after an excellent month of November, surprisingly lost against Westerlo. It lost without a chance with no less than 4-0! A day after the disgrace, a number of analysts point to coach Hasi.
Alex Teklak saw Besnik Hasi make a mistake by making too many changes to his starting XI, possibly forced by a lack of freshness after the cup match at Genk. “All those changes damaged the solidity of RSCA,” he said. “Colin Coosemans’ blunder did not help his coach in this match,” he continued.

Marc Degryse also shared that opinion. According to him, coach Hasi’s choice to put Stroeykens, Verschaeren and De Cat in midfield was a tactical error. “The Cat, used as number 6, was forced to chase spaces and win balls — a role that does not suit his offensive qualities. Anderlecht ended up without a real midfield, unable to control the game or create chances,” it said.
Degryse also saw the defensive and offensive problems return with a blundering Coosemans, a weak Hey who is not a leader and a too young Cvetkovic who cannot carry the attack. Renard must therefore get a good central defender and a top striker in January, according to Degryse.
Philippe Albert saw similar things, but talked about an off-day. He mentioned Hey as very dramatic and also saw how De Cat got into trouble in midfield.
