Victoria comes from a famous family. She is the daughter of actress and singer Zora Jandová (67) and composer Zdenek Merta (74). Although she inherited her artistic talents from her parents and in her spare time she devotes herself to the theater, she found herself professionally as a teacher at Charles University, where she lectures on US history.
Even as a little girl, Mertová was full of above-average intelligence and quickness. However, she often doubts herself and even admitted that she suffers from impostor syndrome! It is a psychological phenomenon where a person doubts their achievements or skills. He also has a fear of being exposed as a fraud.
“I still think to myself sometimes, like are you really sure I’m that smart?” shocked the hunter in the program Talk! on tn.cz “The second thing is that yes, I didn’t have a problem with school since I was a child, but at the same time I always had much smarter people around me,” she stated modestly. “Maybe I wasn’t a prize winner in college, I know quizzers who are much smarter than me. So the genius thing isn’t so hot either,” Victoria stands behind it. However, her parents, who are appropriately proud of their daughter, have the opposite opinion. “When we look at her, we are so proud that she made us famous with her cleverness,” mother Zora beamed with pride.
