Badminton SG Rottweil/Schwenningen: Strong Line-Up & Latest News

With a strong line-up, four clear victories were achieved, which meant that the first team was undefeated in first place in the table and the second place third in their leagues. The last preliminary round matchday with all three teams will be played on Saturday, December 13th, in Rottweil in the double sports hall.

LANDESLIGA Black Forest/Lake Constance: PTSV Konstanz II – SG Rottweil/Schwenningen I 0:8. After a long injury break, the chairman of BV Rottweil, Christian Schwab, was happy to be ready for action again. In both matches he and his doubles partner Jens Hinderberger were able to establish in the 1st men’s doubles and also in the 2nd men’s singles that he had not forgotten anything and contributed four points. Jens Hinderberger was not inferior to him and won his two singles convincingly. Against Konstanz II only the women’s doubles (Anne Puschner/Susi Holzer) and in the 3rd men’s singles Michael Haug had to give up a set to their opponent.

All other games were clearly won in two sets, with the newly formed 2nd men’s doubles (Oliver Artz/Michael Haug) coming together very well. SV Spaichingen II – SG Rottweil/Schwenningen I 1:7. The encounter against SV Spaichingen II was similar. However, the end was less pleasant. In the last game, Susi Holzer was so badly injured that she had to give up. DISTRICT LEAGUE Black Forest/Lake Constance: SV Spaichingen III – SG Rottweil/Schwenningen II 1:7. Supported by Eby Paulachan in Spaichingen and Bastian Grewe, the SG runner-up was also able to bring home two clear victories. However, greater efforts had to be made here.

Contested doubles

The doubles were particularly hotly contested against SV Spaichingen II. In the 1st men’s doubles (Eby Paulachan/Benjamin Tisler; 21:18, 23:21), in the 2nd men’s doubles (Frank Schmidt/Jürgen Strauss; 21:19, 23:21) and in the mixed doubles (Bastian Grewe/Elisa Brockmann; 21:15, 21:19) the sets were close and the SG’s luck was very good.

Women’s doubles turns game

However, after narrowly losing the first set, the women’s doubles (Elisa Brockmann/Daniela Hornung) showed their opponents that they can still win clearly in the second and third sets, with more security in the game (20:22, 21:11, 21:14). The men’s singles were all clear affairs. It was Michelle Berwanger who lacked a bit of luck and left Spaichinger with the honorary point in her individual match (15:21, 18:21). TV Zizenhausen III – SG Rottweil/Schwenningen II 1:7. In the evening game, Benjamin Tisler had to work hard in the first men’s singles. After he delivered the first set, he woke up and didn’t let anything go wrong (15:21, 21:10, 21:12). The women’s doubles won the first set, lost the second very narrowly and was no longer able to get back on track in the third (21:16, 20:22, 8:21).

The 1st men’s doubles (Benjamin Tisler/Frank Schmidt), the 2nd men’s singles (Frank Schmidt) and the 3rd men’s singles (Jürgen Strauss) were unspectacular and victorious. Michelle Berwanger also managed an easy two-set win (21:18, 21:11). Bastian Grewe did excellently in his first appearance in the 2nd team of the syndicate and was able to score points both in the 2nd men’s doubles with Jürgen Strauss and in the mixed doubles with Elisa Brockmann.
