“Lekrings” of Cēsis takes two points in Valmiera in overtime
Tonight, the victory and two points in the ELVI floorball league for men went to “Lekrings” of Cēsis, who, playing on the opponent’s court, with 8:7 beat the team “FBK Valmiera” in overtime. The decisive goal scored by Jakub Berkolt.
The scoreboard of the Valmiera Olympic Center after the first period announced the advantage of the Cēsis team – 3:2. Olafs Zvīnis, Edgars Puriņš and Ričards Dēvits each scored for Cēsisniek, while Guido Lauga and Ričardas Eglītis stood out with goals for the Valmiera team. During the second third, Valmierians managed to equalize – 6:6. The visitors almost celebrated a 7-6 victory in regular time, but 13 seconds before the end of regular time Guido Lauga from Valmia restored the tied result (7:7). The fate of the game was decided in the 4th minute of extra time, when Jēkabs Berkolts converted Rudolph Dāvja Makler’s pass into the decisive goal, ensuring the victory of the Cēsis team “Lekrings” with 8:7.
