At the beginning, however, it looked as if Oldendorf could take revenge for the 5-1 defeat three weeks ago. Hannes Beißenhirtz gave the guests a 1-0 lead in the third minute.
After this early shock, the Karlshöfen team needed a little time to find their way into the game. However, the longer the game went on, the better it was, so the equalizer didn’t take long to arrive: Michel Stolzenberg scored in the margin in the 24th minute after Phillip Schmitz had previously failed.
In the period that followed, both teams largely neutralized each other before TSV won the game in the final phase. First, Jared Teetz, who had recently been substituted, scored to make it 2-1 (77th), three minutes later he set up Matthis Burfeind for the decisive 3-1.
“In my opinion it was a deserved victory,” said Karlshöfen coach Jens Lüdemann. “We played very solidly and never let anything go wrong,” said the coach, whose team will overwinter as league leaders.
Oldendorf’s coach Jörg Blicharski was annoyed that his team stopped playing football after taking the early lead: “We didn’t even get into duels and regularly left the center blank.”
