“If I’m a Liverpool supporter, I’m stunned by this statement… I watch all of Liverpool’s matches, and the one who abandoned the club is him. Despite his huge status, if he’s not performing, he should be on the bench, just like anyone else,” he declared,

Salah, benched for the third consecutive time at Leeds (3-3), said he felt “thrown to the wolves,” believing the club had failed to honor promises made during his contract extension. The striker, who is set to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations in two weeks, even admitted:
“I’ll be at Anfield to say goodbye to the fans (…) because I don’t know what will happen when I’m there.”
