Bokaro News: Deepak Question, Kasmar. If you are looking for a new and attractive place for picnic this year, then Sita Fall can prove to be a great option for you. Located in Bijulia (Singhdih) of Chas block, this waterfall is famous among the local people by the names Sita Fall, Sita Khedav and Sita Kupa. The water falling from a height of about 50 feet creates such a tune among the stones, which instantly fills the mind with both peace and thrill. This place situated amidst dense forests is considered a natural blessing of the village. Local people enjoy picnics here, although it is still less known to outsiders. In the months of December and January, people from nearby villages come here in large numbers with their relatives and friends. The waterfall keeps flowing here for about ten months throughout the year and it dries up during the summer months in May and June. This fall is formed by the water of Bisnibandh, which flows through the fields and takes the form of a ravine and then falls 50 feet and turns into a beautiful waterfall. Later on this water meets the Damodar River. From Mahuda via Singhdih via Binod Bihari Mahato bridge road and from Chas via Bijulia-Singhdih, the bridge can be easily reached and within 200 meters from there by forest vehicle. The villagers believe that if the government pays attention, this place can become a developed tourist destination and strengthen both the identity and economy of the area. Dr. Madan Mohan Mahato (retired principal and archaeologist) is considered to be the discoverer of Sita Fall, who has mentioned many mythological beliefs related to this site.
