Comment from Satoshi Yunoue, President and Representative Director

This collaboration goes beyond the framework of the sport of basketball and aims for mutual development by bringing together the resources and know-how of the three companies. Our vision for this partnership is much more than just an alliance between companies.

This is our strong sense of mission, as we at Kumamoto Basketball Co., Ltd. want to use the power of sports to realize our vision of “creating Kumamoto in the world.”

Kumamoto is currently attracting attention from around the world, and is rapidly becoming globalized in terms of economy and culture. In this global trend, we would like to increase our presence not only as a “developing Kumamoto,” but also as a “Kumamoto with international appeal.”

Sports, especially basketball, is a common language that unites people, transcending language and cultural differences.

Through this MOU, we will deepen our relationship with Indonesia’s top team, Satria Muda Pertamina, and serve as Kumamoto’s international contact point in the areas of sports, culture, and education.

Taking advantage of this partnership, we will use the power of basketball to powerfully promote the realization of a “Kumamoto in the world” where each of us living in the region is aware of the world, has an international perspective, and where diverse cultures interact. This can also be seen as a passionate challenge for Wolters.

In the future, we will work with Satria Muda Pertamina to develop programs such as mutual dispatch of athletes, coaching clinics, and youth development programs, with the aim of improving competitiveness and fostering an international perspective. We will also borrow Global Eye’s knowledge to make this exchange more fruitful and give back to the local community.

We are confident that the strategic partnership between these three companies will serve as a bridge between the basketball world, the business world, and international exchange between Kumamoto and Indonesia, and eventually contribute to the development of Asia as a whole. We look forward to your continued guidance and support.
