Brandon Aubrey made a 42-yard field goal on the final play of the game and the Dallas Cowboys erased a 21-point deficit to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-21 on Sunday.
The Cowboys (5-5-1) took advantage of their third tiebreaker opportunity in the fourth quarter to extend Dak Prescott’s home winning streak to 19 against NL East Division teams.
This is also the first game at AT&T Stadium for the Cowboys since the death of Marshawn Kneeland.
On Sunday, the Eagles (8-3) blew a lead of at least 21 points for the first time since 1999, when the Arizona Cardinals defeated them 25-24.
For the Cowboys, this is their first victory after trailing by three touchdowns since the victory against the St. Louis Rams in 2014.
Prescott broke Tony Romo’s team record with a 354-yard, two-touchdown performance. He has gained 34,378 career yards, compared to 34,183 for Romo. Prescott also scored a diving major on the ground.
The Cowboys made a lot of mistakes early in the game, including two penalties that led to their opponents’ second touchdown and an interception by Prescott in the end zone in the second quarter.
It was then the Eagles who experienced failures, among others when Saquon Barkley and Xavier Gipson fumbled the ball.
George Pickens finished the game with nine catches, including one for a touchdown, and 146 yards. Brevyn Spann-Ford scored the other major for the Cowboys.
In the other clan, Jalen Hurts completed 27 of his 39 passes for 289 yards and a touchdown. He ran for two touchdowns. Antonio Brown also reached the end zone in the loss.
Butker plays hero for Chiefs
Harrison Butker played the hero with his fifth field goal of the game, allowing the Kansas City Chiefs to win 23-20 over the Indianapolis Colts in overtime.
Patrick Mahomes accumulated 352 passing yards, a season high.
Kareem Hunt added 104 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Chiefs (6-5), who had lost their last two games.
Rashee Rice caught eight passes for 141 yards, including two crucial catches in a game-tying drive.
For the fourth possession in a row, the Colts (8-3) had to punt after not having signed any first down.

Butker ended the debate with a 27-yard field goal with 1:57 on the clock in overtime.
Indianapolis blew a 20-9 cushion in the final quarter.
Daniel Jones had 181 air yards, including two touchdown passes. The majority of the spoils were acquired in the first half.
In the second half, he went eight for 18 for 83 yards.
Jonathan Taylor was held to 58 yards on 16 carries after a breakout performance against the Atlanta Falcons.
Kansas City put together two climbs lasting more than eight minutes in the first half, only managing one precision kick.
Mahomes connected with Rice for a two-point conversion that cut the Colts lead to 20-17 early in the fourth quarter.
The Chiefs defense then took over in a sustained manner, facing the Colts leading the league in points scored.
Butker broke the deadlock at the last moment in the fourth quarter, hitting the target on a 25-yard field goal.
He also did the job in overtime, giving his team a first victory since October 27.
