Manuel Ugarte is not having an easy life at Manchester United, especially in the last three games, in which he only played 27 minutes.
At the press conference ahead of the reception to Everton, scheduled for Monday (8pm), Ruben Amorim addressed the former Sporting midfielder’s bad moment and left a warning.
“A lot of very good players come here and sometimes they struggle. He [Ugarte] is having difficulties at the moment, but our job is to try to help our players and everything can change”, stressed the Portuguese coach.
«Five weeks ago, the environment was completely different, so I know that Ugarte is having difficulties at the moment, and my job is to try to help him feel like a player, just like I felt when he was a Sporting player, for example. But it’s a different world and he needs to adapt and improve, especially in training», added Amorim.
Ruben Amorim was also asked about the evolution of red devilsespecially in relation to the start of the season, and about the team’s ability to “withstand storms.”
«I always had that feeling. I think it’s also my job, especially at our club, to always have that feeling. This gives me a sense of urgency in every workout I do. Furthermore, when playing all the Premier League games, you realize that everything can change very quickly, because every team can win any game. If we look at the bottom of the table, we see that the teams have a lot of points. Everything can change in an instant. I don’t like to say the storm is over, but we are more prepared for any storm right now. We will bring this sense of urgency to all games», he said.
