Archery in Tucumán: Travel & Content Writing

This weekend, the National Final for outdoor archery is set to crown new champions, and Misiones will be sending a strong contingent of seven archers aiming for the top of the podium. The prestigious event, organized by Tiro Federal de Tucumán, will bring together the nationS elite archers from Friday thru Sunday.

A total of 232 archers representing 71 clubs from across the country will compete across five divisions: Recurve, Raso, Compound, Conventional, and Longbow. These divisions encompass 30 distinct categories, all vying for national titles on the Federal Shooting grounds.

The Misiones delegation boasts a diverse lineup. Rubén Cieplinski and pedro Penayo, both from the Campo Grande Municipal School, will compete in the Division Raso +5. Posadas will be represented by Aurelio Remonda and Bruno Rostán Vespa, who will compete in Men’s Recurve and Men’s Recurve Sub 15, respectively. Rostán Vespa, accompanied by his coach Gonzalo Barthe, is on a journey to join the Elite Group and possibly earn a spot on the Argentine National Team.

Isabella Chorvat, representing the Hunters Center, will compete in women’s Recurve Under 18.Her performance in Tucumán could be pivotal, as she aims to achieve a qualifying mark for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, a meaningful chance for young athletes on the international stage.

Further bolstering the Misiones presence, Daniela cocco will compete in Women’s Recurve, and Marcelo Szydloski in Men’s Recurve, both representing the Missionary Archery Association (AMiTA). Zonal judge Cindy Schöck will also attend, participating as a self-convoked competitor to gain valuable experience.

the competition schedule kicks off with unofficial practice and equipment checks on Friday. Official practice and the first round of category competitions are slated for Saturday,beginning at 8:30 AM.Sunday will feature the individual qualifying rounds, starting at 8:00 AM, leading to the final showdowns.
