Named after NFL International Seriesthe series of matches began in 2007with a game held in London, Englandwhich has become an annual tradition ever since, with regular season matches played in the European country between October and November.
More recently, the NFL International Series has expanded to other territories, with games held at Mexico, Germany, Ireland and also in Brazilwhich has already been the stage for two official American football league duels, held in 2024 and 2025.
As a result, traditional football arenas were used as stages for major American football matches. In Brazil, this was the case of Neo Química Arenastadium Corinthianslocated in the capital of São Paulo, which hosted the duels between Green Bay Packers e Philadelphia Eagles, em 2024, e Kansas City Chiefs e Los Angeles Chargersin September this year.
The 2025 season marked three major debuts, with the duel in Olympic Stadiumthe Olympic Stadium in Berlin, the first match held in Ireland and the game on November 16th, at the legendary Santiago Bernabéustadium Real Madridwhich marks the first match in the country.
