“This is a very special evening,” Ihattaren said in front of the camera ESPN. “I am very happy to be back in the Philips Stadium. It was beautiful. To be honest, I’ve been living here for a long time actually. My relatives are there, everyone is there. It is wonderful to be able to play here again.”
Applause does not leave Ihattaren unmoved
The applause had not left Ihattaren unmoved. ,,Goosebumps. So many moments go through your mind at that moment. I had a very nice time here. I left early, but if it were up to me I would have stayed much longer. At that moment I wasn’t in the best situation and I chose myself. To be substituted here and receive such applause, that touches me enormously. That came in. Now again, now that I’m talking about it,” said a visibly emotional Ihattaren.
“The fact that they still have my best interests at heart is wonderful. It was also difficult. I would like to play against PSV, but I prefer not to hurt them. It’s a mixed feeling. PSV will always have a place in my heart. I am very grateful that I am back, that I can look back on tonight with pride. And I will be forever grateful that I was taken care of in this way.”
