Södertälje SK: Johansson’s Secretariat Criticism

Södertälje continues to struggle in the bottom tier of the Hockeyallsvenskan.
After the narrow loss on Friday in Oskarshamn, coach Andreas Johansson was clearly annoyed at the secretariat in the BeGe Hockey Center.
– I don’t understand how it can happen in an elite business and that a league can even allow it, he says to TV4.

Södertälje’s coach Andreas Johansson has had a difficult start to his time as head coach of the classic club.

On Friday, they lost again – when Oskarshamn took a narrow victory on home ice with 2-1 against the crisis team. Then Andreas Johansson was under pressure after the match – and attacked the secretariat in the BeGe Hockey Center.

After the game, he was asked what the team should do to turn things around.

“I don’t understand how it can happen”

But then “AJ” chose to shift focus.

– I understand the question, but right now it is best that I remain silent. Look at the secretariat that adds four seconds to the last draw. I don’t understand how that can happen in an elite business and that a league can even allow it. Nobody reacts in four seconds here in Oskarshamn. It’s a turnip in here, he says annoyed.

Viggo Nordlund became a hero for Oskarshamn with his 2–1 goal in the tight match, but there was a lot of hockey left to play then. Towards the end of the match, Joel Svensson in Oskarshamn went on a match penalty and that changed the face of the match.

Södertälje pushed for an equalizer – but failed to achieve one. Now the team is twelfth in the Hockeyallsvenskan and has only two points down on the team Troja/Ljungby
