La Laguna Tenerife demonstrated against Tofas Bursa, in Turkey, its good form and achieved a victory (64-81) that consolidates it as leader in Group D of the FIBA Champions League.

After a very even start, the Tenerife team soon took control of the match due to the success of the outside team. The good play was collective and, as a result of this and good defensive work, they managed to go eight points ahead on the scoreboard (10-18), which they maintained until the first break (12-20).
Tenerife’s greatest success
Little changed in the second quarter, only the confirmation of the greater success of the Tenerife team against a Tofas Bursa team that had its two most dangerous players in attack in Blazevic and Álex Pérez.

Txus Vidorreta continued giving minutes to everyone and those rotations did not represent a change in the game. The Turks tried with Lewis (15-25) and with Cengiz (17-25), but two triples by Bruno Fitipaldo in the final stretch of this period put things back in place (28-40).
Tofas Bursa reacts
After the break, Tofas Bursa came out with greater intensity and trying to turn the match around. The Turkish team started more successfully and got dangerously close to their rival (37-45, min.25) and 46-51 three minutes before the end of the third quarter, with excellent actions by Blazevic and Whaley.

Tofas Bursa player Álex Pérez would tighten the score even more to 51-53, until Huertas arrived to score a necessary and important triple (51-56).
Shermadini gives the finishing touch
La Laguna Tenerife came out on top at the start of the fourth quarter. Inside balls for Shermadini who did not forgive and two of his baskets made it 53-60. Sastre put his team ten points ahead (53-63) with a triple.
The match was once again controlled by Tenerife, who knew how to play the final stretch without excessive stress and won 64-81 and remained leader of the group.
