The 18-month ban is one of the longest in the history of the independent Czech league. Only Spartan Léonard Kweuke, who received a 12-game suspension in May 2013, has faced a longer sanction. This sets a notable precedent for future disciplinary actions.

Matzner added. Although we have no doubt that in both cases it was an unfortunate coincidence of circumstances and not an intention,we would like to appeal to the players to be able to take into account the impact on the opponent’s health and theirs in their actions themselves.
The suspended player’s ban will officially commence next week, provided no appeal is lodged. He still has the option to play in his team’s upcoming Sunday match or voluntarily sit out the first game of his suspension.
Beyond this major suspension, the committee also addressed other disciplinary matters from the league’s 12th round. Bohemians 1905 striker Eric Ramírez will miss two competitive matches due to a red card received against Plzeň. Filip Matoušek of mladá Boleslav has been handed a one-game suspension for a red card in a match against Pardubice, a ban he has already served.
