Wheelchair Basketball: National Team Qualifies for World Cup

The Wheelchair Basketball European Championship was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, between 7-19 October. Our National Wheelchair Basketball Team, competing in the tournament, finished the championship in 5th place and earned the right to directly participate in the World Cup to be held in 2026.

Our national team ended the tournament with a victory by defeating Poland 82-81 in the last match. In the match, Mücahit Günaydın was the team’s top scorer with 33 points, while Uğur Toprak made a significant contribution to the victory with his 24-point performance.
