Forlì, 30 September 2025 –A situation with few previous ones, even in the rest of Italy. The Forlì of basketball no longer sings at the top of the (Obviously, of course, from the fading armed with bars), no longer waves flags. The palafiera – back from a 3.3 million euro restoration – had a void on the north side on Sunday, that of the curve. The organized groups are thus keeping faith with what was announced at the end of last season: no more home cheering. Paradoxically, they went to Cremona on Saturday 20 September – over 200 kilometers away – but do not support the team in their city.
Few the exceptions: someone entered without cheering; An anonymous banner on via Punta di Ferro has still claimed closeness to the team. But the fracture – for now – is clear, originating from the May clashes, before the race2 of the Playoff semifinal in Rimini: a situation that led to 40 Daspo (prohibitions to take part in any sporting event) and two games behind closed doors. Basketball 2.015 condemned the violent with a press release entitled “Daspo for life !!”. A few hours later, the Ultras Forlivesi received the solidarity of the Rimini, with whom even if they had given them of good reason.
The signals of the organized cheering crisis are many. The prefect of Ravenna Raffaele Ricciardi – enthusiast of basketball – convinced the doors of the super cup played in mid -September. They were on the field both forlì and his rivals closer geographically. The event was considered high risk but emptied itself of meaning because the stands, despite the small distance, remained empty by protest. Also deserted by the Fossa, the very hot fans of Fortitudo Bologna: all against the new nominal tickets (which, moreover, caused very long queues to the Palafiera Domenica). And not only.
On the table The problem of the prohibitions remains. Generally, the Observatory on sporting events suggests risks and countermeasures. Prefect and commissioner tend to align themselves with an organ of the Ministry of the Interior. In Forlì, the authorities responsible for public order – both Rinaldo Argentieri and Claudio Mastromattei, who was on Sunday at the Palafiera – explained on several occasions to prefer a sport without restrictions. Nonetheless, they prohibited the trip to the Rimini in January and then applied the stop in May (“The Rimini would be warned”, warned the prefect). Not only that: from 2016 to today, the Forlivesi have often not been able to go to Bologna and vice versa. With Rimini the rivalry has come back in vogue more recently, but with very serious episodes (including the assault on a club in Bellaria) and equally hard repercussions.
In August si is established even that Forlì should not participate in a tournament in Riccione: on earth in Rimini and with Fortitudo in the field. In Serie C football, a month ago, the Morgagni stadium was allowed only to the Ravennati equipped with Fidelity Card, the so -called ‘fan card’. Ditto for the Forlivesi at the ‘Neri’ in Rimini. Result: they were just 35, in a derby that was supposed to be the most important of the last ten years and instead (also for the corporate problems of others) has been seen in the stands by a few hundred enthusiasts.
If this is the trend, The curved situation risks becoming a problem: social, for the function that sport has, and also economic. Without the collections of large events and without the influx from nearby cities, is the ‘game’ still sustainable for companies? Already now, being part of it is a sort of patronage. In August, in no uncertain terms, the eight owners of basketball 2,015 hypothesized their future hallway. The club has announced positive numbers: over two thousand subscribers and three thousand spectators on Sunday (including schoolchildren). But the cards detached in the curve for the 2025/26 season are just about ten.
The climate, in fact, has changed. An example? So far, in the event of contingent tickets, the company reserved a block for organized cheering: it was also in Race2 in Rimini. The trip to Cremona marked a turnaround: basketball 2.015 has dedicated 50 tickets to a calm price (10 euros) to the guest steps. For the curve – so he wrote on a banner – it was “tussle”.
Mind you, The problem of violence should not be underestimated: recently 4 other Ultras Forlivesi have been ‘daspati’ for robbing some employees of Bologna Calcio (booty: scarves and other rossoblù materials), in an autogrill on the A1. The paradox is that the accidents take place outside, while the palafiera is safe: the guest curve is armored by the net and bars. Yet the disorders have been there, and these follow the prohibitions. Which also worry the common enthusiasts: Sunday evening, after the game, on social networks there was more about the Plumbea atmosphere than the baskets. Two of the most recurring comments: “It seemed to be at the theater”, “do something to recompose this fracture”.
A previous one positive would be: March 2024, Serie A2 Italian Cup final in Rome, Forlì against Fortitudo‘real’ game with a trophy at stake, churned out, but zero accidents. Will a sporting event return to being a show even off the pitch?
