Three years of imprisonment for having mistreated his wife and daughter, with threats, physical and psychological violence for over ten years.
The Public Prosecutor of Perugia has reconstructed a story made of continuous violence, the insulting phrases, threats with the baseball club, not consenting sexual intercourse and the head of the daughter inserted in the toilet when he was wrong. The man, a 67 -year -old defended by the lawyer Chiara Casaglia, was accused of having kept “repeated behaviors over time and seriously harmful of the person and the principles of coexistence and family ethics” through which “he mistreated his wife …, even in the presence of the minor …, and the minor herself, through repeated conduct of physical and verbal violence”.
The disputed episodes occurred between 2004 and 2016, and would end only when the woman left the marital home. The neighbors confirmed to the judge the confidences collected by the woman, the victim of the violence of her husband, pushing her to turn to the police and justice. Not only for her, but also for her daughter, also a target of the strokes of anger and the mistreatment of man.
According to the accusation, the defendant would have beaten the woman also with a baseball bat, forcing her to “have sex against her will”, placing “deeds of prevarication, contempt and abuse” that would have made life impossible to his wife and daughter, forced “to abandon the marital roof.
The Public Prosecutor of Perugia has contested many episodes of mistreatment, with threats and insults, of violence with “kicks and punches all over the body every time he tried to oppose his will”, forcing her “to deliver all the proceeds of his work, behind the threat of further beatings”.
The accusation of mistreatment also concerns his behaviors towards the minor, grabbed for one leg and “putting his head in the toilet” or “immersing his head in the bathtub full of water” because he was not doing his homework well. The woman and daughter constituted a civil party through the lawyer Marco Marmottini.
