On Monday, ex-Roma defender Max Tonetto shared on Instagram a selfie taken by De Rossi, where the pair appear to be smiling alongside Spalletti, David Pizarro, Perrotta and Vito Scala, Francesco Totti’s former fitness coach.

Gazzetta Reports that the picture was taken in the Church Nuova Square on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Near de Rossi’s Home in Rome.

It is one of the few public appearances of Spalletti since the Italian federation sacked him in June, after a 3-0 loss against Norway.

“It never goes away. It robs me of sleep, it conditions me in everything because the thought is always there,” Spalletti said in July.

“Sometimes I feel like I’m happy, but then it pops back into my head. I couldn’t get the boys to understand that I loved them.”
