Slavia Prekop: Eager for Champions League Debut

Slovak striker Erik Prekop became one of the largest transfers within the Czech Chance League and, according to the player’s agent, the overall value even approached the competition record. After a successful engagement in Baník Ostrava, a 27 -year -old native from Trenčín to Slavia Prague, who offered the Moravian -Silesian club an amount that could not be refused.

In addition to the lucrative severance pay, Baník also received three players – Ondřej Kricfaluši, David Planka and Filip Šancl. According to Transfermarkt, this three is worth almost 3.5 million euros, which only confirms the huge interest of Slavia in the Slovak striker. Deciding on the transfer was not easy at first. The precop reminds that at the beginning he had no idea of the interest of Slavia and only various hints came. “Only then did it start to write more and more and Mr. Jaroslav Tvrdík admitted that they have an enormous interest in me. Before going to Prague, he decided to inform Baník fans. “I had a great relationship with the leadership. At the beginning they didn’t even want to hear about the transfer, which I understand. The rivalry between Ostrava and Prague is great, but for Baník she has always been the biggest plinth of Sparta, so maybe it made the situation a little easier,” laughed by the Trenčín offspring. “I had an excellent relationship with the fans, I wanted to be honest with them. When I went to Prague for a medical examination, I wrote to the head of the Ostrava boiler to learn it first from me. I think he understood it.”

Despite the drama around the transfer, the precipit was supported from the beginning of Eden by its new teammates. “I have had four days of training and I was looking forward to everyone – Ivan and Dominik Javorček and players of the Czech national team, such as Tomas Chorý, Tomas Holeš or Lukáš Provod.

Interestingly, his new competitor in the attack Tomáš Chorý was one of the players who made his arrival easier. “He was one of those who wanted me to come.
