GD – Madrid, 10 sets. 25 – On the occasion of the Italian sport day in the world, the Italian ambassador to Spain, Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi, accompanied by the expert of the Guardia di Finanza, gen. B. Salvatore Russo, he received the athletes of the Judo team of the Yellow Flames in Madrid today in the Embassy of Italy.
The ambassador, after congratulating our Judoka for the excellent results obtained at the latest Olympic games, evoked the importance of sport as a factor of social aggregation, as well as sports diplomacy as an increasingly important tool for promoting Italy abroad.
During the meeting, the head of the coach app. sc. Antonio Ciano illustrated the various modalities of the Judo discipline and the sports activities in which the athletes participate in the ambassador, each in their own weight category in international competitions.
Also accompanied by the coach, app. Vincenzo D’Arco, the team visited the splendid representation halls of the Palazzo dei Marchesi of Amboage.
