[Reuters, September 9]- The Canadian Tennis Association announced on the 9th that it will be holding a men’s national match against Israel this weekend, the Davis Cup, a match between the country and Israel, without spectators due to safety concerns.

The match will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, eastern Canada, but following the attack on Gaza by Israeli forces by the Palestinian Region, around 400 activists, players, and reporters have asked the Canadian Tennis Association to cancel the match in open letters.

The Canadian Tennis Association, which has been consulted with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and decided to run it without spectators, said information from local governments and national security agencies showed the risk of serious confusion at the event.
